Mesh gabion, also referred to as a gabion barrier or gabion concertainer, is comprised of a simple and strong multi-cellular system installed with steel welded mesh, spring coil, non-woven geotextile, and other appropriate fittings.

For extended longevity, the barrier can be pre galvanized, galfan coated, or hot dipped in galvanized to prevent corrosion. Due to the simplicity of installation, the barrier is mainly used for military defensive blast walls, flood control, erosion control, and security fence barrier and garden decoration purposes.
