The Allen-Bradley 1747-BA is a lithium battery. The Allen-Bradley 1747-BA is not rechargeable, but it can be replaced. Backup for RAM is provided by lithium batteries like the 1747-BA. Lithium batteries provide backup for approximately 5 years for the Allen-Bradley 1747-L511, while they provide backup for approximately 2 years for the Allen-Bradley 1747-L514. The 1747-BA lithium battery provides power for approximately 2 years for the SLC 5/02, 5/03, 5/04, and the SLC 5/05 as well. The battery LED on the processor will alert you when the battery voltage is low.

In terms of transportation of lithium metal cells and batteries, in accordance with all relevant regulations, meeting the UN recommendations are required. Do not short-circuit, disassemble, damage, heat or burn the 1747-BA. Do not pile or blend the batteries with each other. Do not place the battery on metal objects, metal plates, or antistatic materials. In the case of multi-cell applications, replace all batteries in the new ones while replacing used batteries. Keep the 1747-BA away from water, rain, snow, frost or dew.
