The Allen-Bradley 20-HIM-A6 is a NEMA Type 1 Human Interface Module (HIM). It has Full-numeric keypad with fully-integrated navigation with dynamic soft-keys and a flashing LCD screen. The Allen-Bradley 20-HIM-A6 is a Human Interface Module (HIM). It is a NEMA Type 1 HIM that is used with Allen-Bradley PowerFlex 7 class drives. This component has a full numeric keypad and dynamic soft-keys for an improved and efficient interaction to the host drive. This component supports European, English and Asian languages, specifically, English, Portuguese, French, Italian, German, Spanish, and Dutch.

The 20-HIM-A is specifically compatible for use with PowerFlex 753 drives, PowerFlex 755 drives, PowerFlex 755TL drives, PowerFlex 755TR drives, PowerFlex 755TM common bus inverters, PowerFlex 755TM bus supplies, PowerFlex 70 drives with standard or enhanced control, PowerFlex 700 drives with standard or vector control, PowerFlex 700H drives, PowerFlex 700S drives with Phase I or Phase II control, PowerFlex 700L drives with 700 vector control or 700S control, PowerFlex 700AFE (Active Front End), PowerFlex Digital DC drives, PowerFlex 7000 drives, SMC Flex smart motor controllers and SMC-50 smart motor controllers.

The 20-HIM-A6 is installed to the bezel provided by the host drive located at the drive’s front panel. It is connected to the drive port 1 to fully integrate the HIM to the host drive. Additionally, the 20-HIM-A6 may also be plugged into the drives port 2 located at the bottom of the host drive. This may be done with PowerFlex 750 and PowerFlex 7 class drives.

The 20-HIM-A6 supports Drive Peripheral Interface (DPI) protocol with transmission speed of 125 Kbps or 500 Kbps. It has a power consumption of 140 mA at 12V DC supplied by the Host Drive.

The 20-HIM-A6 interface features a full numeric keypad with fully-integrated navigation for the easy configuration and monitoring of the drive as well as the connected peripherals. The 20-HIM-A6 interface comes with a better keypad touch response and an improved tactile response for efficient and error-free data entry. The 20-HIM-A6 interface is designed and built to provide the users with more intuitive access with the new menu structures increase the unit's operating efficiency. The 20-HIM-A6 interface features dynamic soft keys that change the drive's functions or the names based on the data on the screen. It is built with the customizable drive monitoring displayed as a list on the process screen. The 20-HIM-A6 interface features a new flashing LCD screen, providing enhanced visibility when there is a fault or when an alarm is detected. The 20-HIM-A6 interface is installed in the bezel or Drive Port 1 which is on the front side of the drive. To support handheld operation, the 20-HIM-A6 interface is installed into Drive Port 2 that is found near the bottom of the drive control pod.
