Agglomerated granular Activated Carbon
Agglomerated carbons are produced by pulverising a selected mixture of different coals to particles smaller than 45µm. The powdered coals are mixed with a binder, pressed to briquettes, broken to granules of the required size and then further processed to the required activity.
Selecting low ash low sulphur bituminous ,adopting agglomeration process and well-controlled steam activation. The activated carbons display good hardness and high internal surface area , thus effectively adsorb the organic pollutants with large and small molecules and remove the taste and odor compounds and bear repeated backwashing and resist the abrasion.
The granular activated carbons functioned as both filtration and adsorption mainly treat the surface and ground water source and produce the clean drinking wate.
