4mm CTC 50 Low Ash Extruded Pellet Granule Coal Activated Carbon for Air Purification/Gas Separation & Refinement
Description
The product is a kind of low ash content activated carbon developed for air purification, deodourisation and separation of components of flow system. The production processes are accomplished by using one combination of the following steps:
1.) Carbonization: Material with carbon content is pyrolyzed at temperatures in the range of 600–900 °C, in absence of oxygen (usually in inert atmosphere with gases like argon or nitrogen)
2.) Activation/ Oxidation: Raw material or carbonised material is exposed to oxidizing atmospheres (carbon monoxide, oxygen, or steam) at temperatures above 250 °C, usually in the temperature range of 600–1200 °C. The product is also designed to comply with all the applicable provision of ASTM standard for low ash content activated carbon.
Applications
The product is used primarily for air purification and gas separation and refinement. This carbon is a coarser mesh media and is generally used in deep bed filters where pressure drop may be concerned. DK 40 functions as a dual purpose media providing both filtration and adsorption.

Advantages
Filter of the air, for this kind of activated carbon has the combined function of physical adsorption and chemical decomposition.Decomposing formaldehyde, ammonia, benzene, cigarette, lampblack and other noxious emissions and peculiar smell of the air, especially cancerogenic aromatic compounds.Having strong adsorption ability, it is a common adsorbent, catalyst, or catalyst carrier for the function of fully contact with harmful gas. Clear air will be produced and harmful gas will be absorpt to its pores.
