This product is mainly used for steam activation of various charcoals, such as coconut shell charcoal, palm shell charcoal, apricot shell charcoal, peach shell charcoal, walnut shell charcoal, bamboo charcoal, and hard miscellaneous charcoal. The materials are heated to high temperature within a certain temperature range and in conditions of air isolation.
When the materials are brought to the steam section of the activation furnace, a small amount of high-temperature water vapor is sprayed on the surface of the materials instantly. This causes the pores in the material to open and fully react with the steam, making the pores develop deeper and inward to form porous activated carbon.
In addition, and most importantly, the higher the iodine value of the final product, the lower the yield it corresponds to.
The activated carbon activation furnace is a complex assembly made of multiple separate systems.
The feeding system takes the carbonized material into the furnace to be heated.
