CK-MB Overview

Creatine kinase enzyme (CK-MB) is an enzyme system widely found in human striated muscle. When the transverse muscle, such as myocardium and skeletal muscle, is damaged, the creatine kinase isoenzyme is released into the blood and begins to rise after 4-6 hours, with a peak time of 24 hours and a recovery time of 48-72 hours.

The isotinase of sarcosine kinase plays an important role in clinical diagnosis. Serum levels of creatine kinase in humans increase rapidly in response to various diseases, such as muscle dystrophy and myocardial infarction. The activity of sarcosine kinase can detect the diagnosis of myocardial infarction more accurately than ECG. In myocardial infarction, sarcosine kinase increases within 6 hours of onset, peaks at 24 hours, and returns to normal within 3-4 days. The creatine kinase isoenzyme CK-MB has the highest diagnostic specificity. Because of its important physiological function and clinical value, sarcosine kinase has been studied extensively and deeply.
