General Installation Procedure

• Surface Preparation: Before installation, the surface where the panel will be installed needs to be clean and smooth. For example, in a building wall installation, the wall surface should be free of loose paint, dust, and protrusions.

Fixing Mechanisms:

• Adhesives: Special adhesives can be used to bond the panel to the substrate. This method is suitable for smooth surfaces and provides a relatively strong and even bond. However, it requires careful application to ensure proper adhesion and avoid air bubbles or gaps. For small-scale applications like in interior decoration or on flat surfaces, adhesives can be a convenient option.
• Screws or Clips: Screws or clips can be used to secure the panel in place. This method provides more mechanical strength and is suitable for applications where additional security is required or in areas that may be subject to higher forces. For example, on the exterior of a building where wind loads are a factor, using screws or clips can ensure the panel remains firmly in place. The spacing and type of screws or clips need to be selected based on the panel size, thickness, and the specific application requirements.
• Combination of Methods: In some cases, a combination of adhesives and mechanical fixings may be used to provide the best of both worlds. This can enhance the bond strength and also provide additional security. For example, in large-scale building projects, the panels may be initially adhered to the wall and then further secured with screws or clips at regular intervals for added stability.
