The clamp body and keepers are malleable iron, cotter-pins are stainless steel, the other parts are hot-dip galvanized steel.

The suspension clamp is used to fix conductors to insulator strings or hang lightning conductors on straightline towers. Moreover, it also can be used for transposition towers to support transposition conductors and for tension towers or angle poles to fix the jumper wires.
