1. Propertities:
Our aluminium strip based on a new generation of materials for multilayer pipes offer outstanding advantages such as:
l Excellent roll forming and welding;
l Properties (for TIG, laser and overlap or butt welding) ;
l High strength combined with high elongation;
l Extrmely consistemt material characteristics;
l Good adhesion between aluminum and polyethylene due to special chemical degrease.
The slitting line, desined for slitting of narrouw and thin coils in soft conditions, ensures:
l No sticky windings and no staining;
l Less manipulation after sltting, less risk for damage and contamination;
l Uniform tension throughout the whole cil via most accurate control systems;
l Consistent slit edge quality due to accurate tooling: very low burr and edge deformation results in stable behaviour during the process.
Chemical degreasing line:
degreasing—— acid cleaning —— neutralization —— hot water washing —— drying
l Our material for multilayer pipes has a special chemical degreased surface for excellent adhesion between aluminium and polyethylene
l It is proven by peeling tests on different types of pipes that the adhesion with chemically degreased aluminium is much better than with
only thermally degreased aluminium.
Comparison for chemical degreased surface and thermally degreased
Thermally degreased :Though the surface seems very clean but the surface still contains dust or rollong oil remain.
Chemical degreased: During the degresing process, the surface oxides dissolve in the hot sulphuric acid. No rolling oil and debris on the
surface which will gives excellent adhesion properties and good welding performance.
