Description

Healthy crops contain 50-100 ppm manganese, and the green color of the leaves becomes lighter when manganese is deficient. Manganese and iron are closely linked in the crop, participate in the formation of chlorophyll, promote the action of oxidase, and participate in nitrogen metabolism, carbohydrate assimilation and ascorbic acid (vitamin C) production. In addition, the absorption of more manganese in the crop can cause a decrease in iron absorption. Conversely, an increase in iron absorption can cause a decrease in manganese absorption.

Manganese moves slowly in the body of the crop.
