SM LC PC LC APC Fiber Optic Attenuator Female To Female Fixed 3dB 5dB 7dB
Description:
3dB 5dB 7dB LC Female-Female Fixed Bulkhead Fiber Optic Attenuator manufactured by ANC International Co., Limited provides a fixed level of attenuation by replacing the existing fiber optic bulkhead adapter at the patch panel with this LC Bulkhead Female to Female Fiber Optic Attenuator. This LC female to female Fiber Optic Attenuators utilize a doped optical fiber filter to achieve attenuation. The female-to-female type of these fiber optic attenuators enables them to accept standard LC type fiber optic connectors on each side of the bulkhead. Bulkhead Female to Female Attenuators are ideal for use in fiber optic patch panels, instrument front panels, and other applications that require a fixed level of attenuation and easy connectivity. These fiber optic attenuators are available in 5, 10, 15 and 20dB and wavelenghts of 1310nm and 1550nm values and are designed to replace standard bulkhead adapters.
Fiber Optic Attenuator is used in a wide variety of applications and can satisfy almost any requirement where a reduction in power is needed. We supply various kinds of fiber attenuators, including LC, SC, and ST, FC, and Variable fiber optic attenuators.

How to Use Fixed Fiber Attenuator?
As shown in the figure below, fixed fiber optic attenuators should be always installed at the receiver end of the link (X in the drawing). This is because it's more convenient to test the receiver power before and after attenuation or while adjusting it with your power meter at the receiver, plus any reflectance will be attenuated on its path back to the source.
