Equipment selection for final assembly conveyor line
Usually, the PBS transmission line is mostly in the form of silver skids, and the investment cost is relatively high. It does not occupy the area of the factory building, which is convenient for body storage, deployment and circulation, and convenient maintenance. Some car companies also adopt the form of three-dimensional garages, which occupy a small area, but relatively speaking, the investment and cost are higher.
As for the interior line and the final line, most enterprises currently adopt the form of wide slide conveying. Due to cost factors, some only use the form of leaf chain, or the interior line is conveyed with wide clear plate, and the final chain adopts leaf chain.
The chassis line basically adopts two forms of product-free chain or friction line. Typical chassis lines of Japanese and Korean companies use product-free chains, and European and American companies mostly use friction lines. In contrast, the initial investment cost of the friction line is higher than that of the product chain, but considering the steel structure, workshop and subsequent maintenance work, the cost of the two is close. When enterprises have a high output, in order to improve assembly efficiency and reduce labor intensity, some enterprises will also adopt lifting and rotating conveyor line holders, and cooperate with the integrated chassis to lift AGV trolleys to meet assembly needs. This kind of conveying line is advanced but the investment is high, and it is generally used by European and American manufacturing plants.
