Container plywood is divided according to the bonding strength:

Class I plywood: weather-resistant, boiling water-resistant plywood, which can be used outdoors;

Type II plywood: can withstand cold water or short-term hot water immersion, but not resistant to boiling;

Class III plywood: plywood that is not resistant to moisture.

It can be selected according to the requirements of the buyer and the local environment of the buyer. If the site of the buyer has high requirements for moisture and waterproofing, class I or class II plywood should be used.

Container board material

Wood plywood for containers: plywood for container bottom plates made of wooden veneers glued together. Including plain wood plywood and cladding wood plywood (mainly divided according to the surface treatment of container plywood). According to the selected wood, it can be divided into the following two types: the first is tropical hardwood, because it has a superior appearance and eye-catching color, few surface defects, and dense texture. Keruing and Apitong from Southeast Asia are mainly used. Mainly because the species has few natural defects such as knotholes, dead knots, wormholes, rot and cracks. The yield rate is very high and has good mechanical properties; the second type is mixed wood boards. In recent years, the supply of clones and Abitong in Southeast Asia has been tight, and the prices have increased significantly. Therefore, many companies have also tried to use other woods and traditional wood boards. A combination of hardwood and plywood has been tested and found to be acceptable as a container floor.

Bamboo-wood composite plywood for container floors: plywood for container floors made of bamboo units such as bamboo curtains and mats and wooden veneers. Including plain bamboo-wood composite plywood and clad bamboo-wood composite plywood (mainly classified according to the surface treatment method of container plywood). Bamboo flooring has a short period of time, and our country is rich in resources, especially in South China. Many domestic container board companies have done a lot of research and exploration in this area. Bamboo flooring is divided into two types, one is all-bamboo, and the other is bamboo. Wood mixed type (middle layer is wood, surface layer is bamboo).

Anti-corrosion treatment

It can be defined by both the supply and demand sides according to the local environmental requirements and business needs

The meaning of anti-corrosion includes two aspects: anti-rot and anti-insect. That is, preservatives must have both functions of anti-rot and anti-insect, or preservatives must contain two components of fungicides and insecticides. The purpose of doing like this one is in order to prolong the service life of container bottom plate (timber), is to prevent harmful organism (as wood decay fungus, wood pest) from spreading along with the circulation of container. Since the prevention of the spread of harmful organisms belongs to the category of P health quarantine, it is also called the immune treatment of the container floor, but in essence it is the anti-corrosion (including insect-proof) treatment of wood and plywood.

Anti-corrosion treatment methods: one is pressure impregnation treatment, which is mainly used for solid wood and veneer, and the other is glue layer treatment, which is mainly used for plywood and laminated wood. The glue layer treatment is to add preservatives to the adhesive. During the forming and gluing process of plywood or laminated timber, the preservatives will penetrate into the wood (veneer) to play a role of anticorrosion.
