Product Details

This particular DC input module has 8 points per group and requires a 20 position RTB, or removable terminal block housing, which can either be the 1756-TBNH or the 1756-TBSH, for it to be connected to the 1756 ControlLogix chassis. Users can also configure some of the features of the 1756-IC16, namely a Change of State and Input Filter Times, using the RSLogix 5000 software.

The 1756-IC16 has a nominal input voltage of 48V DC and a similar voltage category, at 48V DC sink. Its operating voltage range varies depending on the temperature; at 60 Degrees Celsius, it ranges from 30 to 55V DC and at 55 Degrees Celsius, it goes from 30 to 60V DC. The backplane current of this module at 5.1V is 100 mA, while at 24V, it is 3 mA. For the current during an on-state, it has a minimum of 2 mA at 30V and a maximum of 7 mA at 60V. The 1756-IC16 has a maximum power dissipation of 5.2W at 60 Degrees Celsius and a maximum thermal dissipation of 17.73 BTU/hr. It also has a maximum inrush current of 250 mA.
