The PR6423 sensor is a magnetostrictive sensor. It uses the principle of

magnetostriction to measure the displacement of a shaft. When the shaft

moves, it creates a magnetic field that changes the resistance of the sensor.

This change in resistance is then converted to a digital signal by the

CON041-CN converter.
