How to Replace Your Oil Filter:

1. Safety Measures: Ensure the engine is cool and the vehicle is stable. Wear gloves and gather tools: oil filter wrench, drain pan, and new oil filter.
2. Drain Oil: Locate the oil drain plug and carefully remove it to allow oil to drain into the pan. Wait for complete drainage.
3. Remove Old Filter: Use the oil filter wrench to unscrew the old filter counterclockwise. Dispose of it properly.
4. Prepare New Filter: Apply a thin layer of oil to the new filter's gasket to prevent leaks.
5. Install New Filter: Screw the new filter onto the mount clockwise until hand-tight, then use the wrench to give it an additional quarter-turn.
6. Refill and Check: Replace the drain plug, refill the engine with the correct oil type and quantity, and start the engine to check for leaks and oil pressure.
