Plug Socket Test Equipment Screwless Terminals Thermal Stress Tester IEC 60884-1
Standard:
IEC 60884-1 2013 ‘Plugs and socket-outlets for household and similar purposes -- Part 1: General requirements’ clause 12.3.11
Application:
Screwless terminals shall withstand the electrical and thermal stresses occurring in normal use.
This device is use to check whether the screwless terminals can withstand the electrical and thermal stresses occurring in normal use. Plug Socket Test Equipment
Test sample:
Screwless Terminals. Plug Socket Test Equipment
Feature:
Loading the screwless terminals for 1 h with an alternating current as specified in table 10 and connecting rigid solid conductors 1 m long having the nominal cross-sectional area as specified in the same table. Then measure the voltage drop.
Table 10- Test current for the verification of electrical and thermal stresses in normal use for screwless terminals
Rated current A | Test current A | Nominal cross-sectional area of the conductor mm2 |
10 and 13 16 | 17.5 22 | 1.5 2.5 |
NOTE For socket-outlets having rated currents lower than 10 A, the test current is proportionally determined and the cross-sectional area of the conductors is 1.5 mm 2 . |
Parameters:
Test cycles | 192 cycles, current flow for 30min, no current flow for 30min |
Power supply | AC220V 5A 50HZ |
Test current | AC 1~99.9A±(3%±1A) |
Voltage drop measurement | 0~199.9±(3%±1mv) |
