Household Appliance Test Equipment Fuchsine Solution Pressure Test For Ceramic Material
Standard:
IEC 60335-1 ‘Household and similar electrical appliances – Safety – Part 1: General requirements’ clause 22.32
Application:
Used to determine if ceramic material is tightly sintered.
Feature:
Household Appliance Test Equipment
It consists of two parts: Fuchsine and Methylated Spirit test bottle and pressure boosting device.
The ceramic material is broken into pieces that are immersed in a solution containing 1 g of fuchsine in each 100 g of methylated spirit. The solution is maintained at a pressure not less than 15 MPa for a period so that the product of the test duration in hours and the test pressure in megapascals is approximately 180.
The pieces are removed from the solution, rinsed, dried and broken into smaller pieces.
The freshly broken surfaces are examined and shall not show any trace of dye visible to the naked eye.
Operation Steps:
1. Fill the tank with water.
2. The sample is placed in a container bottles.
3. Set pressure.
4. Tighten the pressure relief valve.
5. Turn on the power switch.
6. Set the test time. Note: This time is only to prompt the test time is up. It does not automatically relieve pressure. How to relief: Please loosen the pressure relief valve.
7. Press the start switch for testing.
8. Test to complete. Note: the need to manually unscrew the pressure relief valve.
