Features of Kingda Planetary Ball Mill
Working Principle
The lab planetary gear ball mill is named after its working mode similar to the trajectory of planetary motion in the solar system, that is, the planets revolve around the stars and rotate at the same time. On the working turntable, four or two symmetrical ball mills are installed at the eccentric position of the middle fixed gear. When the turntable rotates (revolution), it drives the ball mill to rotate around the axis of rotation, and the direction is opposite to the rotation of the turntable, forming a planetary motion. The transmission ratio of revolution and rotation is 1:2 (one revolution of revolution is two rotations of rotation). When the balls in the ball mill move together with the ball mill, they are affected by the superposition of Coriolis force (i.e., rotational deflection force), generating strong impact and friction. This combination of impact and friction allows the grinding media balls in the ball mill jar to grind and mix the samples at high speed.
Ball mill jars are impacted strongly in high speed movement, and samples are eventually ground into powder. Various kinds of different materials can be ground by the mill with dry or wet method. Minimum granularity of ground powder can be as small as 0.1μm.
