The advantages and properties of the aluminum-titanium-silicon-nitrite coating (AlTiSiN coating):

Aluminum-titanium-silicon-nitrite (AlTiSiN) is a combination of aluminum, titanium, silicon,and nitrogen.

This coating is intended for use when machining hard to very hard materials and therefore for

high machining temperatures. The AlTiSiN coating enables hardened, alloyed steels and cast iron

to be machined.
