Sperm Vitality Assay Kit (Eosin Method)
What is Sperm Vitality Assay Kit (Eosin Method)?
Mainly for the detection of sperm survival rate staining analysis.
Sample requirement:
Once the semen specimen is liquefied, the sperm survival rate should be tested immediately, preferably within 30 minutes, and in any case should not exceed 1 hour, so as not to inactivate the sperm due to dehydration or temperature changes and make the staining test results inaccurate.
Interpretation of the test result:
1. Live sperm have a white head and dead sperm have a red or pink head. Sperm with a pale pink head are generally considered to be alive.
2. If the staining is limited to the neck area and the rest of the head is not stained, the condition should be considered "neck membrane leakage". Normally this is not a sign of sperm death or a rupture of the entire cell membrane. Therefore, these sperm should be evaluated as live sperm.
