Sperm Vitality Assay Kit (Eosin-Nigrosin Method)
What is Sperm Vitality Assay Kit (Eosin-Nigrosin Method)?
To test sperm survival. Staining.
Sample requirement:
Semen specimens should be tested for sperm survival as soon as they are liquefied.
Interpretation of the test result:
1. Live sperm have a white head and dead sperm have a red or pink head. Sperm with a pale pink head are generally considered to be alive.
2. If the staining is limited to the neck area and the rest of the head is not stained, the condition should be considered "neck membrane leakage". Normally this is not a sign of sperm death or a rupture of the entire cell membrane. Therefore, these sperm should be evaluated as live sperm.
