The automated heavy duty transfer AGV is a vital piece of equipment in an automated logistics transportation system and flexible production system. It is composed of three core components, namely the walking mechanism, sensing system and control system. The walking mechanism determines the AGV's range of motion, while the sensor systems allow for fine tuning of navigation.
The main components of the transfer AGV include a guiding detector, steering wheel, driving wheel, motor, steering mechanism, battery, frame, brake and controller. For power, the AGV vehicle uses a maintenance-free battery or a lithium battery, which is accompanied by a portable charger. The driving device is found at the center of the AGV vehicle and it responds to instructions from the controller or a manual device, controlling the AGV's speed, direction and brake.
Additionally, the AGV is equipped with two safety devices: the mechanical brake, and an AGV safety protection device.
In terms of information communication, the AGV includes an information transmission and processing device as well as a communication device. The transmission processor allows for constant monitoring of the AGV, while the communication device allows for the exchange of information between the AGV and related ground control stations or equipment. This way, AGV can accurately complete its mission in an automated logistics warehouse.
