Automatic Box Beam Production Line For Double Head Submerged Arc Welding Machine

1. Structure principle

Cantilever submerged arc welding machine and cantilever back welding machine have the same structure: moving cart, stand column, transverse boom, welding arm, seam tracking device, wire feeding system, and electric control box. Their only difference is the configuration of welding power.

Moving cart is composed of one base, four moving wheel, and 2pcs of wheel axles, 2 sets of motors. 2 sets of motors drive four wheel axles through the gear. It composes 4 wheel driving systems, in order to make it stable and reliable operation.

Box-beam cantilever welding machine has two sets of welding arms. It can weld two seams at the same time. On the one hand, it moves horizontally on beam’s guiding rail, on the other hand, it also moves vertically on tool carriage’s guiding wheels.

Seam tracking device is fixed under the welding arm. It can automatically track the welding seam to make the distance between welding torch and welding seam suitable. This device uses pneumatic tracking on horizontal direction, and automatic tracking by gravity on vertical direction.

3. Range of supply

● Cart assembly: moving cart, motor reducer, stand column, and beam.

● Welding arm and tool carriage: welding arm, tool carriage, and motor reducer.

● weld tracker: arc guiding frame, arc guiding wheel, and air cylinder.

● Electric control system: electric control box, operating box, and AC frequency converters.

● Pipe and cable system: control cable, air supply pipe, and wire sliding frame.

● Welding system: single arc single wire: ZX5-1000 submerged arc welding power, control box, and control cable. Two sets for each, double arc double wire: Lincoln DC-1000 and AC-1200×2 submerged arc welding power, control box, control cable. Two sets for each.
