Introduction of Beryllium Copper Alloy:
Beryllium copper combines the high electrical conductivity, high thermal conductivity, and ease of machining of copper with the high strength and spring properties of beryllium. With the addition of 0.5% to 3.0% beryllium to copper, this alloy offers strength comparable to special steel.
