Ball nose end mill has a ball shape end, has the function of semi finish milling or fine milling of curved surface and circular groove. The small diameter ball nose end mill can finish mill small chamfer of steep surface and straight wall. Most of the ball nose end mills are 2 flutes.In some situations, 4 flute ball nose end mill are needed.

For milling workpiece of which hardness is HRC 55 to 60 degree, carbide grade BT55 is applied as raw material(ground carbide rod), BT45 has below physical characters:
