Description

Drummed asphalt melter is composed of bitumen melting tank, lifting device, tipping device, hydraulic propelling system, heat transfer oil heating system, bitumen pump and pipeline, liquid level warning system and electric control system, etc.

Drummed asphalt melter lifting device adopt suspension structure, which lift the bitumen barrel with electric hoist and load it onto the tipping device. The tipping device then turn over the bitumen barrel bottom up on the rails pallet, and the hydraulic propelling system will push it into up tank. All the mentioned actions are operated on the integrated electric controller.

The melting tank looks like a container, its chamber is consist of upper half and bottom half. The upper half is applied to heat up bitumen drums with heat transfer oil coils, and make asphalt outflow from the drums. Hydraulic propelling system push the barreled bitumen into tank via two rails, the newly entered barrel pushed empty barrel out from the other end. The bottom half is a storage tank with heat transfer oil coil for heating and storing hot bitumen. Finally pump the bitumen into another storage thank or application machine when bitumen temperature arrive 110 degree.

Bitumen drum melter components

The equipment mainly consists of melting tank, lifting system, tipping devices, asphalt drum plate, dripping asphalt collect system, hydraulic propulsion system, thermal oil heating system, bitumen pump, pipe system, and electric control system.

Working principle

The equipment adopts automatic spring door sealed box structure. The drum is lifted by electrical hoisting. The hydraulic propeller pushes drum plate into the melter, and using the hot thermal oil from external boiler as the heating source.

Continuous production one full drum in and one empty drum out from the other end.

Features

1, Drum lifting

Lift the barrel by hoist, move the barrel transversely and put it on the turnover device with opening up. No asphalt dripping, no asphalt pollution.

2, Drum turnover device

In the previous time, after opening the barrel, we need to turn over the barrel by manual and bitumen dripping results in waste and pollution when move the barrel with opening down to the sling way.

But our machine adopt the bitumen barrel turnover technology invented by ourselves, the machine drastically reduces the labor intensity and avoids dripping during transferring.

3, Collecting disk

After the barrel turned over by the turnover device, a few of liquid bitumen dripping from the barrel will be collected by the bottom disk and spilled into the melting tank automatically through a small hole.

4, Bitumen barrel plate

The hydraulic pusher does NOT push the barrel directly, but push the bitumen barrel plate with square shape, avoiding big resistance, unsatisfactory progress and deformation of barrel and rail.
