Greyboard usage is various. Depending on the thickness and weight of the board, such applications can range from backings for note pads, modelling mounting art prints and photographs, along with preserving comic book collections in storage. Other uses for more heavy duty backing boards include the display of garments and packaging protection for miscellaneous items in transit. Recent fashions have also incorporated cardboard backing boards into the design of everyday cardboard furniture.

Sometimes referred to as chipboard or dutch greyboard or deep grey board , Gray board . Available in a full range of metric sizes, namely A1, A2, A3, A4, A5, A6, as well as Super A3 greyboard for use by photographers, along with 12" x 12" and 19" x 13" imperial sizes. For any unusual sizes not supplied as standard, Paper Cutz offers a bespoke cutting service for its full range of paper and card products. There is a small additional charge for this service.
