Fusion bonded epoxy coating material is thermosetting material, it is consist of solid epoxy resin, curing agent and various additives by mixing, grinding. When performing, steel tube was heated to 220-230 Celsius degree, then epoxy powder is sprayed on the surface of the pipe by electrostatic adsorption method, fusion bonded epoxy powder is heated and cooled melt adhesive curing. Single-layer fusion bonded epoxy coating thickness is about 300-500um, DPS (Double layer FBE) thickness is controlled in 450-1000um.

Fusion bonded epoxy coating has the properties of excellent adhesive strength, high insulation resistance, resistance to soil stress, anti-aging, anti-cathode stripping, anti-high temperature, resistance to bacteria and small cathodic protection current(only 1-5uA/sq.m), etc. But there are also poor performances against mechanical impact, high water absorption and other shortages.

Our fusion bonded epoxy coating perform the standards as per SY/T0315,CAN/CSA Z245.20,AWWA C213,Q/CNPC 38,etc.

Product Uses

Fusion bonded epoxy anticorrosion coated steel pipes used in:

  • Coal mine: suitable for underground water supply and drainage, underground grouting, positive and negative pressure ventilation, gas drainage, fire sprinkler pipe network.
  • Power plant: thermal power plant process water waste residue, backwater conveying pipeline.
  • Fire fighting: it has excellent applicability for the water supply pipeline of the sprinkler system.
  • Highway: power, communication, highway and other cable protection sleeve.
  • Municipal engineering: suitable for water supply of high-rise buildings, heat supply of heat network, tap water engineering, gas transmission, underground water transmission and other pipelines.
  • Petroleum: petroleum pipeline, chemical industry, printing and dyeing and other industries transport corrosive media process pipeline.

Q: Does this tubing come with triclamp ends to be coupled together?
A: This particular tubing comes without tri-clamp ends standard. We can always weld tri-clamp ferrules to the end of tubes for any specific length you need. These products are referred to as tri-clamp spool assemblies. If you need a specific length, please
contact us.
Q: Are you able to cut tubing to lengths that don't require freight shipping? Say 5' lengths for example.?
A:Yes, we are able to cut down to other sizes. UPS Ground is able to ship up to 7' without the tubing being considered "oversized".We do charge a cutting fee for this service, however. Please contact us for a quote.
Q:How much does 1 stick of 4" tube weigh?
A: One 20' Stick of 4" Sanitary Tubing weighs approximately 75 pounds.
Q:You list gauge of this tubing at 16, but the wall thickness at 0.065". Isn't 16 gauge 0.0625"?
A: The wall thickness and gauges are all displayed in the table below. Please contact us if you have any other questions.
Q: Do you sell tubing in anything less than cases? I need to order just over 400 feet but don't want to pay for two cases as this is More than I need.
A: We do sell tubing on an individual basis however there is a $50 "broken box" fee applied to any order less than an entire case.Since we don't offer a way to order individual tube pieces online please call us to place an order over the phone.
Q: Do this product ship via freight?
A: Yes, our tubing comes in standard 20 foot lengths and will need to ship via freight. I'd also like to mention that there is a broken box charge meaning that if you do not order an entire box of tubing you will be charge additional fees as such. For more information please contact us. Thanks.
