High Strength 2×2 Twill Carbon Fibre Weave Finish Carbon Fibre Roll Wrap Tube
LIJIN’s standard carbon tube is produced based on the prepreg winding technique with carbon fibres and epoxy resin. The fabrics are thereby laminated in a mould or around a dimensionally stable core. With this high-quality material, very high fibre volume contents and performance can be achieved (65% carbon fibre and 35% epoxy). The standard carbon tubes have a PU lacquered outer surface.
CARBON fibre tubes (tapered/conical)
Roll-wrapped conical carbon fibre tubes with a smooth surface finish of 3k carbon fabric prepreg in plain weave, clear-coated glossy. Subjacent layers from unidirectional non-crimp fabric. High-quality epoxy resin matrix.
Fibre Orientation:
Surface layer: 0°/90°
Core layers: 0°
Characteristics:
Lightweight, excellent corrosion and heat resistance, and electrical conductivity. Very good flexural and hoop stiffness.
After laminating, the wound CFK round tubes are ground (round) to size and then coated.
Tolerances:
Deviation in diameter ± 0.2 mm. Deviation in straightness max. 2 mm/m. The measured values are generally far below the maximum. Ideally suited as a tail boom for small gliders, HLGs, and DLGs up to 1 m wing span and F1B / F1H free flight models.
What is the strength of carbon tube?
In the tensile strength test, it was found that the carbon fiber tube can withstand a tensile strength of more than 800MPa, and the maximum strain is 0.03, which shows that the tensile strength of the carbon fiber tube is extremely excellent
What are carbon fiber tubes used for?
Carbon fiber tubes are used in numerous applications like tactical ladders, trusses, beams, and more. Carbon fiber is typically chosen over traditional materials such as aluminum, steel, and titanium because of the following properties: High strength and stiffness to weight. Excellent resistance to fatigue.
