High Flexibility 100% 3K Carbon Fibre Pultruded Hollow Round Tube, 1 metre Long
Pultrusion is a manufacturing process used to create continuous lengths of composite materials with a consistent cross-sectional shape. Pultruded carbon fiber tubes are produced using this process and are known for their high strength, stiffness, and durability. The term "pultrusion" is a combination of "pull" and "extrusion," which describes the process of pulling reinforcement materials through a resin bath, curing them, and then cutting them into the desired lengths. Pultrusion is widely used to manufacture various structural components, including carbon fiber tubes
Pultruded carbon fiber tube is the ultimate push rod since it contains 95% unidirectional carbon fiber running longitudinally and is covered with a light glass scrim. This design offers a high stiffness-to-weight ratio and makes this tube ideal for 1/4 scale aircraft pushrods, slope soarer, and helicopter tail booms, as well as reinforcement rods in light weight constructions such as model cars, musical instruments, trade show presentations, etc.
Pultruded carbon fibre profiles are made from resin & carbon fibres which are drawn continuously through a die. This production method causes the fibres to be oriented unidirectionally, i.e. along the length of the pultruded form.
We do recommend roughening up the bonding surfaces and then using epoxy resin or cyanoacrylate (superglue) for the bonding itself.
