New to LIJIN’ selection of high-performance carbon fibre tubes is our range of 3K Woven Finish tubes which have a stunning high-gloss woven carbon fibre finish to complement their incredible strength.

With the classic appearance of 2/2 twill carbon fibre coupled with 100% roll-wrapped prepreg carbon fibre construction, these remarkable tubes look as good as they perform.

Appearance:

This 3K Woven Finish tube is manufactured from alternating layers of unidirectional prepreg carbon fibre for maximum strength with the final layer swapped for 2/2 twill, 3k woven carbon fibre so that the tube has the classic appearance of woven carbon fibre (exactly the same as our carbon fibre sheets for example). This means that although the tubes are designed for demanding mechanical applications, they also look fantastic, adding a cutting-edge carbon fibre appearance to any application.

To achieve the smooth, glossy appearance the tubes are surface ground, lacquered (with high-gloss UV resistant lacquer), and then polished. The end result is a carbon fibre tube of unrivaled visual appearance making it ideally suited for use in applications where it will be seen.

Carbon Fiber Tubes FAQ

1. How is the diameter of your tubes measured?
Except for pultruded tubes (diameter measured from outside), all DragonPlate tube diameters are measured from the inside of the tube (ID). To determine the approximate outside diameter, add 2x the wall thickness to the ID measurement.

2. What finish options do you offer for your tubes?
Finish options include gloss, natural, textured, and tooled, depending on tube type. Please see each tube type for finish options. We also offer a sanded finish upon request. Contact us for more details.

3. How do you recommend cutting DragonPlate carbon fiber tubes? Is there any safety gear that I should use?
DragonPlate carbon fiber tubes are pre-cut to the specified lengths or slightly oversized. The tubes are easily cut to length using a bandsaw, coping saw, or Dremel tool. Recommended precautions include wearing safety glasses, a dust respirator, and protective clothing when cutting, sanding or drilling, to limit exposure to the dust, which is an irritant.
