1. Laser Cutting

Laser cutting is to irradiate the workpiece with a focused high-power density laser beam to quickly melt, vaporize, ablate to reach the ignition point of the irradiated material. At the same time, the molten material is blown away by the high-speed airflow coaxial with the beam to realize the cutting of the workpiece. Laser cutting is one of the thermal cutting methods.

2. Flame Cutting

The thickness of flame cutting ranges from 1 mm to 1.2 meters. But when the thickness is below 20 mm, other cutting methods should be better.

Flame cutting uses the high temperature generated during the combustion of iron oxide to cut steel plate. The design of the flame cutting torch provides sufficient oxygen for burning iron oxide to ensure good cutting results.

3. Water Jet Cutting

Water jet cutting is a plane cutting machine tool that combines an ultra-high pressure water jet generator and a two-dimensional CNC machining platform. It raises the pressure of the water flow to high enough (above 200MPa), so that the water flow has great kinetic energy, which can penetrate chemical fiber, wood, leather, rubber, etc., mixing a certain proportion of abrasive in the high-speed water flow can penetrate almost all Hard materials such as ceramics, stone, glass, metals, alloys, etc. Under the guidance of the two-dimensional numerical control processing platform, start or end processing at any position of the material, and move at an appropriate speed according to the set track to realize the plane cutting of any graphics.

4. Plasma Cutting

Plasma arc cutting is a processing method that uses the heat of a high-temperature plasma arc to locally melt (and evaporate) the metal at the incision of the workpiece, and use the momentum of the high-speed plasma to remove the molten metal to form an incision.

Velander Steel Company Limited currently has two major sectors and three industries. Its geographical location in the Yangtze River Delta famous industrial city: Wuxi. The company covers an area of more than 30,000 square meters. The stainless steel and carbon steel industries include coil plate and seamless steel pipe production and distribution.

Velander Steel owns different workshops for manufacturing and processing different products. Today we will bring you a detailed introduction.

The coil and strip workshop. This on-going machine is called stainless steel slitting machine, which is used to carve stainless steel coils into strips. This whole production line is exported from German. Based on the German technology, the central control system is the high-tech PLC system, which is able to sharply improve the cutting precision, expand the scope of application and reduce the processing period. The highly customized-friendly control panel and adjustable cutting blade makes our workshop being capable of processing various sizes and grades of required coils.

The next workshop we're going to visit is loaded with stainless steel decoding machine sets. This production line is used to divide standard size stainless steel coil into sheets or coils based on clients’ requirements. In order to increase the producing efficiency, the decoding machine is connected with the leveling machine which could directly process the target sheets. This high-adjustable machine sets have the abilities to preform a treatment on almost all types and sizes of stainless steel coil. Furthermore, the completed products also hold the advantage of highly-customized, almost all special sizes could be manufactured from our workshop.

The last was a warehouse for the Velander Steel Company. The Company attaches great importance to the development and production of precision seamless steel tube and precision special-shaped steel tube and have accumulated rich experience in seamless steel tube production for nearly 20 years. The products are characterized by fine process and high quality. The Company mainly produces high-precision cold-draw-ing and cold-rolling seamless steel tubes with specifications fromφ3x0.4 to φ120x12, precision ±0.025 and roughness (Ra)1.6-0.8-0.2,precision honing tube and extruded tube for air and hydraulic cylinder bodies, and various thick-and-thin precision special-shaped tubes with complicated section, internal and external straight tooth tube, spiral tooth tube and special-shaped tubes with different sizes of longitudinal diameters and wall thickness. The Company has strong technical force and new product development capability. The Company with a production area of more than 20,000m2 has a full set of production equipment and inspection methods from hot piercing to factory leaving of finished products, an annual production capability of more than 20,000t; a set of &50 piercing machine unit, 9 cold-drawing machines, 6 cold-rolling machines and 2 continuous isothermal heat treatment furnaces; a set of steel tube eddy current inspection equipment, inspection center and auxiliary production facilities such as metalworking machinery workshop. The complete seamless steel tube production line is formed through perfect production equipment and facilities.
