Also known as corrugated cardboard. It is formed by bonding at least one layer of corrugated paper and one layer of boxboard, which has good elasticity and extensibility. It is mainly used for manufacturing cartons, cartons and other packaging materials for fragile goods. Native straw pulp and waste paper are beaten to make raw paperboard similar to yellow paperboard, then rolled into corrugated shape by mechanical processing, and then bonded with boxboard paper by adhesive such as sodium silicate on its surface.

It has good mechanical strength, can bear certain pressure from the plane, and is full of elasticity and good buffering effect; It can be made into liners or containers of various shapes and sizes according to needs, which is simpler and faster than plastic buffer materials; It is less affected by temperature, has good shading property, does not deteriorate under illumination, and is generally less affected by humidity, but it is not suitable for long-term use in high humidity environment, which will affect its intensity.
Classification
According to different combinations, corrugated board can be divided into the following five types:
1. Paperboard consisting of a layer of core paper and cowhide card is called "corrugated paperboard". Corrugated cardboard is generally used only as cushion, spacing and wrapping irregular objects.
2. Paperboard consisting of a layer of core paper and two layers of cowhide cards is called "single pit paperboard".
3. Two layers of core paper sandwiched in three layers of cowhide cards are called "double-pit cardboard". Double-pit paperboard can be composed of pit papers with different pit widths and different paper types, such as "B" pit paper and "C" pit paper.
4. The three-layer core paper sandwiched in the four-layer cowhide card is called "three-pit cardboard".
5. Extra-strong double-body paperboard is developed from single pit paperboard, and a layer of core paper in the middle is formed by laminating and bonding two thick core papers.
