Matched casing pipe OD: 194mm
High performance 3 middle wings concentric casing drilling bit for construction instruction:
When drilling in soft and loose ground with scattered boulders, the soil and clay are caved in, which creates drilling difficulty to withdraw the DTH drilling equipment and lowers the drilling speed.
To overcome this problem, KINGDRILLING 3 middle wings concentric casing drilling bit to enable drilling and lowering the casing simultaneously.
This prevents the soil from collapsing into the drilled hole. The systems are designed to drill the hole diameters bigger than the casing diameter. When reaching the required drilled depth, the DTH hammer and Overburden Drill System can be withdrawn from the hole. If the bed-rock level is reached and further drilling is needed, you can simply change the bit to a conventional DTH bit.

FAQ:
1. What is overburden groundwater?
Overburden Groundwater means water found below ground surface within the unconsolidated material overlying the bedrock aquifer.
2. What is the difference between well water and groundwater?
The layers of rock and soil between the surface and the groundwater has filtered most contaminants out, although some minerals may have been picked up by the water as it filtered down to the aquifer. Well water tends to have a higher mineral content than surface water.
3. Why is percussion drilling used?
Cable percussion drilling is a tried and tested method of site investigation. The drilling technique allows the installation of casing inside the borehole to prevent loose soils collapsing into the hole, allowing the borehole to be advanced to considerable depths while maintaining good progress.
4. Where does overburden go during a mining operation?
Overburden is used for reprocessing, contouring land, and as a construction aggregate for buildings and roads. Mine tailings are reused for producing clay, tiles, glass, and concrete. Mine water is treated and then used for dust and particulate suppression, agricultural/industrial use, and as a coolant
