Bauxite (aluminous soil; bauxite),one of raw materials of alumina silicate refractory, also known as alumina or bauxite, hydrated alumina containing impurities, main component is its composition of alumina is extremely complex, a variety of geological sources vary the floorboard of the hydrous alumina ore.As water soft diaspore, monohydrate hard diaspore and sanshui diaspore (Al2O3 · 3 H2O);Have a plenty of diaspore and kaolinite (2 sio2, Al2O3, 2 h2o) company;Some is given priority to with kaolinite, and with higher content of kaolinite, the form for general bauxite or kaolinite clay.Bauxite is generally formed by the chemical weathering or exogenous, there are few pure mineral, mineral always contains some impurities, more or less contain clay minerals, iron ore, titanium minerals and clastic heavy minerals, etc.

b. Precision casting / Investment casting: bauxite grog fines can be made into mold for precision casting.

c. Refractory: high alumina bauxite’s refractoriness can reach 1780°C.It is charactered by good chemical stability and mechanical performance. (Al2O3 ≥48% with low Fe2O3)

d. Aluminium silicate refractory fiber: The high alumina bauxite grog can melt under 2000°C-2200°c in the electric arc furnace.After a series of processing, it can become aluminium silicate refractory fiber, which can be made into fiber blanket, plate,cloth.

e. Mixing magnesia and bauxite grog with binders to pour the molten steel ladle for better overall lining performance.
