GPF (Gasoline Particulate Filter) gasoline particulate filter is cylindrical in shape, which is no different from the traditional "three-way catalyst" in shape, except for the passage of internal air flow. GPF is a wall-flow carrier with parallel honeycomb channels inside, and only one inlet and the other outlet in two adjacent channels are open. Tail gas is discharged from the porous wall of GPF carrier to the adjacent channels, and particles are trapped on the wall of the carrier, thus reducing the emission of particles in tail gas.
