In addition, the installation is subject to greater preload. The gas pressure makes the cylinder wall produce tangential tensile stress and radial compressive stress, and the inner surface is larger, such stress is high frequency pulsation stress.

Because of the temperature difference between the inside and outside of the cylinder wall, the thermal stress is extremely great. However, at extremely high temperatures, the metal near the inner surface is subject to creep plastic deformation, while the residual tensile stress is formed on the inner surface after cooling.

The low-frequency stress caused by changes in starting and stopping will fatigue the material.

Created for operation in high temperature environment like turbo engines. Through oil circulation in the gallery, pistons are intensively cooled in the piston crown and ring belt area .

Anodized Crown

Anodization of piston crown creates a hard crown surface thus providing pistons with extra protection against crown piting and wear .

Tin Coating

Tin coated surface provides extra lubrication and smoother running of cylinder components resulting in longer engine lifetime .

Moly Skirt

Help produce less frictional heat and engine noise. The extra lubricative effect also minimize cylinder bore wear and prevent piston scuffing .
