The slurry pump has a replaceable wear-resistant metal lining or rubber lining. The impeller is made of wear-resistant metal or rubber. The shaft seal can be a packing seal or a centrifugal seal. The pump's discharge port can be installed at a different angle from 45°C and rotated at eight different angles.

The shaft seal type of the slurry pump mainly has a packing seal and a secondary impeller seal. The auxiliary impeller seal uses the pressure seal generated by the impeller and the auxiliary impeller in series, and is generally used in the case of press-in ore feeding, but the ore pressure value is not more than Pump outlet pressure value is 10%. This type of seal can be used without shaft seal water (by the oil cup on the pump body to regularly add grease), without diluting the slurry; however, it will increase the power consumption (generally about 5% of the rated power).

Packing seal is a common type of shaft seal. It is suitable for various working conditions. It can be matched with special materials such as PTFE filler and graphite filler. It can be used under corrosive or high temperature conditions. It has the advantages of simple structure and convenient maintenance. However, it is necessary to add shaft sealing water, and sufficient water pressure and water volume should be ensured. The shaft sealing water pressure is 35 kPa (0.35 kg/cm2) of the pump outlet pressure, and the shaft sealing water quantity depends on the size of the bracket.

The slurry pump can also be mechanically sealed, and the sealing effect is good, but the cost is high, and the shaft must be sealed as required.
