WHITE ALUMINA OXIDE GRITS FOR BONDED ABRASIVES, SANDBLAST
White aluminum oxide is a high purity abrasive electrically fused from Bayer processed alumina. This material is classified to exacting standards for various applications where higher purity levels and reduced iron content are required.
The crude grits 12#, 24#, 30#, 36#, 46#, 54#, 60# are widely used to produce Vitrified bonded abrasives grinding wheels and Resin bonded abrasives cutting discs, etc.. and also using for sandblasting.
Sizing standard China GB/T, FEPA, JIS and ANSI are all available against clustomers' request.

Bonded Abrasives and Sandblasting
Difference between Brown aluminum oxide and White aluminum oxide in Bonded abrasives grinding wheels
as below:
Abrasive | Hardness | Toughness | Materials suitable for grinding | Features |
Brown Aluminum Oxide | High | High | grinding metals with high tensile strength, such as carbon steel, alloy steel, malleable cast iron, hard bronze, etc. | It has good grinding performance. Often used for rough grinding with large margin and widely used.
|
White Aluminum Oxide | Higher | Little Lower | precision hardened steel, high carbon steel, high speed steel and ground thin-walled parts. | When grinding, the abrasive particles are easily broken, so the grinding heat is small. |
Difference between Brown aluminum oxide and White aluminum oxide in sandblasting
as below:
Abrasive | Using Difference in sandblasting |
Brown Aluminum Oxide |
When fast cutting is needed, with a reclaimable media, brown aluminum oxide is often the best value. |
White Aluminum Oxide | White aluminum oxide boasts of a extremely high purity that makes it suitable for applications requiring minimum contamination of foreign substances and sharp free cutting abrasive characteristics. |
