Product Description:

White corundum is produced from industrial alumina powder. It is melted in an arc furnace at a temperature exceeding 2000 degrees and then cooled. Following grinding and shaping, the material undergoes magnetic separation to remove iron and particle size screening, resulting in various products. With its dense texture, high hardness, angular shape, white corundum is well-suited for the production of ceramics, resin-bonded abrasive tools, as well as grinding, polishing, sandblasting, and precision casting (particularly for investment casting special corundum). Additionally, it finds application in the manufacturing of premium refractory materials.

The hardness of white corundum slightly surpasses that of brown corundum while its toughness is slightly lower. It boasts high purity, good self-sharpening properties, strong grinding ability, minimal heat generation, high efficiency, resistance to acid and alkali corrosion, and high-temperature thermal stability. White corundum does not alter the color of the workpiece and is ideal for sandblasting processes where iron powder residue is not permitted. Micro-powder grades are particularly suitable for wet sandblasting and grinding operations, delivering high processing speed and quality. With a very low iron oxide content, white corundum is well-suited for iron residue-free sandblasting operations.

White Fused Alumina is a pure, clear form of Fused Alumina that enables the production of vitrified wheels with minimal soda and silica content, achieving the whitest color possible. This type of alumina is highly friable, characterized by its high purity and large crystal size. Its crystals fracture swiftly due to its brittleness, constantly producing small cutting crystals.
