Custom Machining High Precision CNC Flame Cutting Services Custom Steel Plate Cutting Parts
Sheet Metal Flame Cutting Services
Steel plate is one of the standard raw materials used by metal manufacturers because of its strength, toughness, ductility and weldability. To ensure a high-quality product for your project, find a fabrication shop that meets all sheet metal fabrication standards and procedures
Flame cutting
Flame cutting is the fastest and most efficient cutting technology for thick steel plate cutting. Using a multi-torch drive can be cost-effective in large batches. In addition, flame cutting cuts are straight. The top and bottom parts of the board are the same size. Our flame cut parts are available for steel structures requiring CE marking
Most steel plate qualities – such as structural steel, wear-resistant steel and pressure vessel steel – are suitable for flame cutting. Unalloyed and low alloyed steels with a carbon content below 0.3% can be flame cut without any special arrangements. Stainless steel cannot be flame cut
Flame cutting is the most common thermal cutting technique. During cutting, the starting point is heated to ignition temperature by the gas. Cutting oxygen is added, and the high-pressure jet burns the metal and blows the molten material away from the cut. For steel plates over 20mm thick, flame cutting is a fairly simple and low-cost technique
Oxygen cutting is considered the perfect solution for cutting steel profiles from carbon and low alloy steels in thicknesses ranging from 16mm to 400mm
Accuracy is typically between +/- 1mm to 10mm, depending on the thickness of the metal used, and thanks to its high speed and high precision, our multi-head CNC flame cutting produces precise and repeatable steel profile parts
This process generally provides inexpensive cutting of carbon steel and most alloy steels. Flame cutting does create a heat affected zone (HAZ) around the cut, which may need to be removed through an additional machining stage
