Hot dip galvanized round steel pipe / GI pipe Pre-galvanized steel pipe Galvanized pipe for construction
Galvanized steel
Hot-dip galvanized steel pipe is pickled, first remove iron oxide on the surface of the steel pipe, after pickling, wash with ammonium chloride or zinc chloride or mixed aqueous solution tank of ammonium chloride and zinc chloride, and then send it to the hot-dip plating tank. Hot-dip galvanizing has the advantages of thick galvanized layer, uniform coating, strong adhesion and long service life. A complex physical and chemical reaction occurs between the steel matrix and the molten electrolyte solution to form a corrosion-resistant zinc alloy layer with a dense structure. Pure zinc layer, alloy layer and steel matrix are fused together. Therefore, it has strong corrosion resistance
Galvanized pipe may be cut, machined, or welded in the usual manner for ordinary steel, but should be adequately ventilated to avoid inhalation of fumes when heated. The sawed ends of our pre-cut lengths are not galvanized and should be treated with a cold galvanizing compound to maintain protection once your project is complete. Any drilled or welded areas should also be treated
Application of galvanized steel pipe
After galvanizing, these metal pipes can be used for many different purposes such as: water pipes, gas pipes, chemical pipes, sanitary pipes, HVAC pipes and industrial pipes. They are often used in building construction and the development of water systems because they are very durable and last longer than other types of pipes such as PVC (polyvinyl chloride) or copper pipes
A common application for galvanized steel pipe is water and gas systems in building structures. Because of their corrosion resistance, steel pipes are ideal for plumbing and HVAC (heating, ventilation and air conditioning) applications where durability is required. They also make excellent chemical pipes because they withstand high levels of corrosion and rust better than other types of pipes
The benefits of using galvanized steel pipe
There are many benefits to using galvanized steel pipe, such as excellent corrosion resistance, low cost compared to other materials such as PVC (polyvinyl chloride) or copper, high durability and strength, and efficient heat transfer properties. Since they do not easily corrode or rust, these metal pipes can be used in both indoor and outdoor applications. They're also lightweight, easy to install, flexible enough to get around corners with ease, yet strong enough to withstand shocks from earthquakes or extreme weather conditions
