1) Synthetic polycrystalline diamond (PCD) is a polycrystalline material obtained by polymerizing diamond powder with a solvent under high temperature and high pressure. Its hardness is lower than that of natural diamond (about HV6000). Compared with cemented carbide tools, PCD tools have higher hardness. 3-4 times; wear resistance and life are 50-100 times higher; cutting speed can be increased by 5-20 times; roughness can reach Ra0.05μm, and the brightness is inferior to natural diamond knives
2) The hardness of natural diamond (diamond) reaches HV9000-10000, which is the hardest substance in nature. The finished tool can maintain dimensional stability for a long time during cutting, so it has a long service life. The circular arc part of the cutting edge of the tool made of natural diamond is observed under a 400 times microscope without gaps, and it is suitable for processing gold, silver, copper, aluminum (aluminum alloy), zinc (zinc alloy), acrylic (plexiglass) and other materials. The apparent roughness can reach Ra(0.01-0.025) μm. High cutting efficiency and stable machining accuracy.
