The Anodising process:

The process of Anodising Aluminium involves submerging the metal in an acid electrolyte bath and passing an electrical current through the solution. The bath has a cathode attached to it and the aluminium acts as the anode.

How do you prepare Aluminium for Anodizing?

To prepare aluminum for anodizing, the surface is first thoroughly cleaned and rinsed, and then placed into a bath of some electrolytic solution like sulfuric acid. An electrolyte is an electrically conductive solution with lots of positive and negative ions that it wants to swap.
