Customized Precision CNC Machining Aluminum Cover Plate Corrosion Resistance

Compared with the traditional fuel car or pure electric vehicle, PHEV plug-in hybrid electric vehicle is a new energy vehicle that integrates two kinds of energy sources. When the vehicle is under driving conditions, the energy source comes from the engine or the high-voltage battery or both the engine and the high-voltage battery, and the vehicle controller optimizes the distribution of the vehicle power source according to the corresponding driving conditions, so that the energy conversion efficiency is controlled at a high level, thus achieving low energy consumption. In addition, when one of the high-voltage battery or engine does not work properly, the vehicle can still drive according to certain strategies, thus improving the reliability of the vehicle. This paper takes a PHEV hybrid model as an example, and introduces the power architecture, high voltage architecture, thermal management architecture, and engine start-stop architecture, which is a reference for those who are engaged in the work of hybrid vehicles.
2.1 Power System Composition
PHEV stands for Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle. PHEVs can use the electric power grid (including household power outlets) to charge the power battery, and secondly, the engine is also one of the power sources, while the kinetic energy of the engine can be converted into high-voltage battery electricity.
Power system - Electric drive power system. Mainly includes: high-voltage battery, high-voltage battery controller (BMS), P2 motor, P2 motor controller (PEU1), P4 motor, P4 motor controller (PEU2), DC/DC (DC transformer), on-board charger (OBC), power distribution unit (PDU), gearbox, K1 clutch. Power system - engine power system. Mainly includes: engine, K0 clutch, gearbox, K1 clutch. The K0 clutch is located between the engine and the P2 motor and controls the combination of the engine flywheel and the wheel end of the P2 motor without disengaging, while the K1 clutch is located between P2 and the gearbox and controls the combination between P2 and the gearbox without disengaging. The torque output by the P2 motor driven electrically and the engine output torque are superimposed on the P2 power output shaft. The engine, K0 clutch, P2 motor, K1 clutch and transmission are located at the front axle and P4 motor at the rear axle.
2.2 Vehicle driving modes
EV NORMAL: Pure electric - standard mode. The P2 motor drives the vehicle, the K0 clutch is disengaged and the engine is not started. K1 is closed during driving and disconnected during gear shifting, with the P4 motor compensating for the driver's need for torque during gear shifting. EV ECO: Pure Electricity - Economy mode. P2 motor drives the vehicle, K0 clutch is disengaged and the engine is not started. K1 is closed while driving, K1 is disconnected during gear changes and the P4 motor compensates for the driver's need for torque during gear changes. EV AWD: Pure electric - 4WD mode. K0 Clutch disengaged, engine not started. P2 and P4 drive the vehicle together, K1 is closed while driving and K1 is disconnected during gear shifts. HEV NORMAL: Hybrid - standard mode. The engine and P2 motor drive the vehicle together, but the engine does not necessarily run all the time. When the engine is required to step in to drive or to use the P2 motor to convert engine power into electrical energy to charge the high voltage battery, the K0 clutch is engaged, K1 is closed while driving, and K1 is disengaged during gear changes, and the P4 motor compensates for the driver's need for torque during gear changes.
HEV ECO: Hybrid - Economy mode. The engine and P2 motor drive the vehicle together, but the engine does not necessarily run all the time. The K0 clutch is engaged when engine drive is required to convert engine power to electrical power to charge the high voltage battery using the P2 motor. K1 closes while driving and disengages during gear changes, with the P4 motor compensating for the driver's need for torque. HEV AWD: Hybrid - 4WD mode. The engine, P2 and P4 drive the vehicle together. However, the engine does not necessarily run all the time. K0 and K1 are closed while driving, K1 is disconnected and K0 is combined during the gear change. HEV SPORT: Hybrid-Sport mode. The engine, P2 and P4 drive the vehicle together. The engine runs all the time. K0 and K1 are closed while driving, K1 is disconnected and K0 is combined during the gear change. Compared with HEV AWD mode, SPORT mode has faster and stronger power response. HEV SAVE: Hybrid - power saving mode.
