JIS G3303:2008 Electrolytic Tin Plate Coil for packaging box and cans
Tinplate coil, commonly known as tinplate (SPTE), is a cold-rolled steel sheet with a thin layer of tin on the surface.
It has a certain degree of strength and hardness, good formability, easy solderability, the tin layer is non-toxic and tasteless, the surface is shiny, and tin is mainly used to prevent corrosion and rust.
It is distinguished between hot-tinned and electro-tinned sheet according to the manufacturing process. Commonly used storage bottles and beverage cans are manufactured from tin-plated steel sheet.
Tinned coil (commonly known as tinplate) is manufactured from a thin pressable steel sheet as the base material, the surface of which is tinned and covered with a multi-layer protective coating (layer) of steel material.
It is corrosion-resistant, non-toxic, tasteless, has a shiny surface, is lightweight, very strong (compared to paper, wood and composite materials), easy to paint, easy to weld and form, and adaptable to ambient temperatures.
As a result, more than 70% of the total production of tin-plated steel sheet is used for food and beverage packaging. It is also used for packaging and shaking of raw materials in the chemical and pharmaceutical, electromechanical, hardware, telecommunications and instrumentation industries.
The main feature of tinned coils is that the tinned layer is protected by a double electrochemical strength of cathode and anode, that is, when there is a complex mixture (or weak acid solution) and a certain degree of vacuum on the walls of the food can, the potential is lower than that of the iron base metal, tin, because the anode is dissolved During the shelf life of the tin can, the amount of dissolved tin is basically harmless to the human body; and the outer wall of the solute in the atmosphere is in a state of cathodic protection with a tin layer, which gives it sufficient chemical stability, not comparable to that of other can materials.
Tinplate is most commonly used for the production of various containers, such as food and beverage cans. However, the use of tinplate is not limited to the production of containers; tinplate is also used in the manufacture of engine parts and many other products.

Application
Tinplate is widely used for making all types of containers(such as sea food cans, beverage cans, edible oil cans, tomato paste cans, milk powder cans, aerosol cans and other fancy cans.
