High Strength Spectra Synthetic Rope UHMWPE Rope 12 Strand 32mm Diameter

Product Description

UHMWPE is odorless, tasteless, and nontoxic. It embodies all the characteristics of high-density polyethylene (HDPE) with the added traits of being resistant to concentrated acids and alkalis, as well as numerous organic solvents. It is highly resistant to corrosive chemicals except oxidizing acids; has extremely low moisture absorption and a very low coefficient of friction; is self-lubricating (see boundary lubrication); and is highly resistant to abrasion, in some forms being 15 times more resistant to abrasion than carbon steel. Its coefficient of friction is significantly lower than that of nylon and acetal and is comparable to that of polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE, Teflon), but UHMWPE has better abrasion resistance than PTFE.

Florescence uhmwpe ropes are among the strongest ropes in the world. The ropes are not only excellent in water and in heavy UV conditions, but they are also up to 15 times stronger than steel pound for pound. With a 12 strand construction, it makes it easy to splice for winch rope, marine lines, cable pulling and many other applications. Theses ropes are offered with an added abrasion resistant coating, that not only offers UV resistance, but color also. Because the fiber is a polyethylene based fiber, the rope will not rot, floats in water for marine applications, and makes a great replacement for steel cable.

UHMWPE rope is ultra high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) 12-strand fiber braided rope. UHMWPE Rope has the strongest tensile strength per weight. UHMWPE rope is stronger than the wire rope of same diameter, and it weighs 1/8 of wire rope. UHMWPE rope is treated with a unique coating process and special heat treatment process to enhance its anti-abrasion characteristics.
