Synthetic Oils SAE 30 Quincy Air Compressor Lubricating Oil
Within the compressor, the lubricant acts as a seal between the screw elements, facilitating the compression process. The heat generated by the compressed air is absorbed by the lubricant and carried to the compressor lubricant cooler. During this process, the heat and oxygen contained in the compressed air can destroy the lubricant's performance, and if the heat is high, it can lead to excessive aging. Compressor lubricants that lose their performance can cause excessive wear on the bearings and create a varnish coating that covers the inside of the compressor, reducing the efficiency of the heat exchanger and increasing the lubricant to undesired levels, causing more damage.
